Magic and changing the world - our human art. We need these writers and thinkers not to remind us of what art means but in order to have the words, the language to describe it to those who've lost the understanding, most of whom decide whether we have access to art or not through education or being able to afford to go to a concert or theatre. It is a government's responsibility to ensure that the people they serve have all access to the art needed to understand life, each other, to inspire and imagine, to beauty, to educate, to change, to provide justice and to love. Thank you Robert for reminding us of Ernst Fischer and I look forward to reading more of these vital people's thinking, our cultural heroes and goodness me are we in need of them now.
